Create a single self-contained HTML file using Three.js that renders a visually spectacular, bright, colorful, and highly detailed 3D animated rocket launch scene with powerful engine fire, thick smoke, dust, and dramatic environmental effects.

Requirements:

Use Three.js loaded from a CDN.

Everything must be contained in one HTML file and work directly when opened in a modern browser.

Fill the entire browser viewport edge to edge with the 3D scene. Do not leave margins, borders, blank space, or unused areas.

Create a bright, polished, AAA-quality stylized 3D visual style with vibrant colors, detailed materials, cinematic lighting, soft shadows, atmospheric depth, and excellent visibility.

Create a large detailed rocket launch site surrounded by colorful terrain, launch structures, support towers, pipes, platforms, service equipment, barriers, and distant hills.

Make the rocket the clear central focus of the scene, large enough to see important details such as the body, nose cone, engines, fins, and surface panels.

Position the rocket vertically on a detailed launch pad at the beginning of the animation.

Include a launch tower or support structure beside the rocket with mechanical arms or clamps holding it in place.

Start with a brief calm pre-launch moment with subtle atmospheric movement such as light smoke drifting and small warning lights glowing.

Show the rocket engines gradually igniting beneath the rocket.

Create bright, powerful animated engine flames with multiple layers of fire, including a bright core, glowing exhaust, and longer flame trails.

Add intense heat glow and warm light from the engines reflecting onto the rocket body, launch platform, and nearby structures.

Create large volumes of thick animated smoke and dust spreading outward across the ground as the engines increase thrust.

Make the smoke roll, expand, swirl, and rise naturally instead of appearing as simple static clouds.

Add smaller particles, sparks, glowing embers, dust, and exhaust fragments around the launch area.

Make nearby grass, dust, loose objects, and lightweight vegetation react to the powerful engine exhaust.

As engine thrust increases, make the rocket subtly vibrate before liftoff.

Animate launch clamps or support arms releasing the rocket just before takeoff.

Make the rocket rise vertically from the launch pad with smooth but powerful acceleration.

As the rocket rises, create a long, bright exhaust plume extending downward.

Make the exhaust plume dynamically change length and shape as the rocket gains altitude.

Show smoke and dust continuing to spread around the launch pad after liftoff.

Add visible atmospheric distortion or heat shimmer near the engine exhaust if possible.

Include subtle camera vibration and a brief cinematic camera shake during ignition and liftoff without making the scene difficult to watch.

Use a smooth cinematic camera that follows the rocket upward while keeping the rocket and major launch effects clearly visible.

As the rocket climbs, smoothly reveal more of the colorful landscape, launch site, clouds, and distant horizon below.

Keep the rocket large and prominent throughout the sequence.

Add layered clouds at different heights, with the rocket eventually climbing toward and partially through them.

Use a bright blue daytime sky with colorful white clouds and strong sunlight so the rocket, flames, smoke, and environment remain clearly visible.

Avoid a dark night scene. The result should be bright, vibrant, high-contrast, and visually clear.

Use realistic-looking shadows and dynamic lighting, including the changing influence of the bright engine fire.

Keep the viewport visually dense and impressive throughout the animation, with no excessive empty sky or unused space.

Use layered terrain, launch structures, smoke, clouds, and atmospheric effects to maintain visual interest as the rocket ascends.

The animation should follow a clear sequence: rocket on launch pad → pre-launch smoke → engines ignite → flames intensify → smoke and dust rapidly expand → rocket vibrates → clamps release → rocket lifts off → rocket accelerates upward → long exhaust plume follows → camera tracks rocket toward the clouds.

Use smooth animation for the rocket, flames, exhaust, smoke, dust, sparks, particles, vegetation, clouds, lighting, shadows, and camera movement.

Do not add overlay text, titles, labels, HUD, captions, menus, buttons, borders, or UI elements over the scene.

The browser viewport should contain only the animated 3D rocket launch scene, filling the entire screen edge to edge.

Start the animation automatically when the page loads.

Add smooth camera controls only if they do not obstruct the scene or interfere with the cinematic composition.

Optimize for smooth performance in a modern browser.

No build process is allowed, and there must be no external dependencies other than the Three.js CDN.

Commedia lirica in drei Akten von Giuseppe Verdi
Libretto von Arrigo Boito

In italienischer Sprache

Digital Decoding is a collaborative ten-day research-driven exhibition with live perfomances by five female artists and designers from sound, object, and textile design investigating how digital technologies both conceal and critically examine and reveal the material realities, labour, and power structures they depend upon. Through approaches spanning AI voice recognition, human–machine co-creation, virtual environments, heritage craft, and digital infrastructures, the project asks: How can artistic research with digital technologies expose the hidden materialities, practices, and biases that digitality itself obscures?

The practices of all five involved artists involve a strong focus on exposing the human perspectives behind digital and technological advances and tools. With each bringing in their personal approaches as artists, designers and craftspeople, the exhibition will give access to important, diverse and still widely underrepresented topics such as biases in AI, craft materiality and heritage in a digitalised world, and human-machine interactions. One aim is to expose the challenges, environmental and social impacts digitality has and should no longer be ignored by society as consumers. Through experimental, playful and tangible explorations the artists demonstrate how artistic research can make a difference in bridging the wide gap between a society which is fully immersed in digitality, whilst at the same time lacks the invitation and information required for true inclusion and digital sovereignty.

A handshake is more than a greeting—it’s a universal symbol of trust and connection. Across cultures, it serves as the first moment of physical contact between individuals, symbolizing acknowledgment and communication. Inspired by this social ritual, BeatsMeet transforms handshakes into an interactive sound experience, blending unique audio identities in real time.

Within the digital milieu – where networked, datafied, and algorithmically driven interactions unfold between people, technical systems, and the environment – new kinds of artificial and hybrid entities emerge that elude straightforward classification. Among these strange new species are so-called "mushroom" websites that proliferate in the Bulgarian webspace to spread disinformation and propaganda during political campaigns, only to disappear or become inactive once a campaign has run its course. Another odd being is "One Person," a 13-meter public statue in Sofia which broadcasts dynamic visual content through a computer algorithm combining video surveillance, dataveillance, and AI-generated text, forming a collective body in the process of constant self-actualization. In this Loops session, Veneta Androva and Venelin Shurelov will elaborate on the nature of these more-than-human actors and, in doing so, provide insight into their artistic practices and methodologies.

Venelin Shurelov is a visual artist, scenographer, and researcher working at the intersection of art, technology, and critical media practice. His work explores the hybridization of human and machine, automated systems, and the performative nature of contemporary technologies. He is the founder of ‘AUTOMATIC Gallery’, a 24/7 digital art space in Sofia, and the co-founder of ‘DA Fest’, as well as the MA Program in Digital Arts in Sofia. Shurelov’s projects have been presented internationally in exhibitions, festivals, and academic contexts, focusing on questions of perception, control, and technological fiction. He teaches and lectures on digital art, performance, and media theory.

Veneta Androva is a visual artist living and working between Berlin and Sofia. Her practice focuses on CGI-based moving image and installation developed through research-driven artistic approaches. Working across single-channel works, multi-channel video, and spatial formats, she examines how contemporary realities are shaped by technological infrastructures, mediated information, and structures of power. Across her projects, Androva develops hybrid narratives in which documentary material and fiction intersect. Her films are internationally recognized with honors including the German Short Film Award (2020), Prix Ars Electronica (2021), and 25FPS International Experimental Film and Video Festival, as well as presentations in institutional contexts across Europe and beyond.

In this interdisciplinary workshop, led by Fang Tsai, participants explored
the world of e-textiles — working with conductive threads, yarns, and fabrics
to transform touch, pressure, and stretch into dynamic signals. These signals
allowed them to map specific body movements and poses to sound,
sonifying the body’s spatial relationships and gestures.

Joining us are Dr. Anna Polze, media scholar at Ruhr University Bochum, whose work traces the visual cultures of migration and the crises of digital evidence; Fred Abrahams, former Human Rights Watch and now guest faculty at Bard College Berlin; and artists and researchers Engy El Shenawy and Federico Zurani, who explore how images and simulations construct narratives of war, testimony, and power.

The collaboration with Princeton University was developed together with journalist and professor Deborah Amos and her students. Together we hope to open a lasting collaboration and an ongoing conversation on investigative media aesthetics and on how journalism, art, and research can continue to document and question political realities.

We are thrilled to begin the academic year with this shared event that brings together universities, disciplines, and generations of inquiry. The session is open to the public and will be streamed live on our channels.

As always, we will end the night with drinks and informal conversation at our studio bar.
